Ajit heads the Marketing function for Commercial and Global banking at HSBC India. This segment stretches right from the large multinational organisations to the small microfinance beneficiaries. The core responsibilities of Marketing include ensuring ‘Top of mind’ awareness through a number of salience building initiatives besides topline and bottomline focused programs in business generation, product launches and retention activities for these fast growing and profitable segments. These include the ENBA award winning CNBC Making it BIG which is into its fifth season and EFFY award winning ‘Day you were born campaign’ Previous job assignments in Marketing have been at Reliance Infocomm, Marico Industries and Caltiger.com. Prior to that, he was at JWT Advertising handling brands Close-Up, Johnnie Walker and Air India. A Commerce graduate from Mumbai University, Ajit has done his Post graduation in management from IIM, Lucknow (1997 batch) Married with a 9 year old daughter, Ajit likes travelling to taste local food, watching western movies and reading inspiring autobiographies.
